I'm one of the many people out there who have admiration for this man and his music. I used to be an avid Nirvana fan, and though my music taste's evolved into other rock subgenres since then, when i was 15 he introduced me to a better world, a world i felt an affinity with and discovered a beauty in - rock, and of course - Grunge.
What's prompted me to make this thread is i know a lot of you out there feel the same as me, and see his death (whether it be suicide or murder) as a great tragedy. I will still commemorate his birthday and passing this year, in Feb and April respectively. I was also listening to a very powerful and poignant song by the Foo Fighters from their latest album; Echoes, Silence, Patience, Grace, called Let It Die. How Dave Grohl expresses his personal feelings about his friend and former bandmate's death almost brings me to point of tears. It's so touching and tragic and incredibly moving.
Let's not focus on how he died, but more what he gave us.
He was a beautiful man with so much to give and express, which eventually contributed to his demise.
